A24 and Paramount+ team up for a Dallas-set legal thriller starring Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning, Netflix develops a biopic on wrestling legend Dan Gable, and Hulu’s political thriller Paradise returns for a third season in Los Angeles.
Discretion
(Paramount+)
A24 and Paramount+ are developing Discretion, a legal thriller series inspired in part by the real-life experiences of corporate attorney-turned-author Chandler Baker. Set in Dallas, Texas, the series is expected to explore the high-stakes, ethically complex world of corporate law through a suspense-driven lens.
The project brings together a high-profile producing team, including Nicole Kidman and Per Saari via Blossom Films, alongside Dakota Fanning, Jordan Cerf, Joe Hipps, Brittany Kahan Ward and Susannah Grant. Baker also serves as screenwriter, ensuring a degree of authenticity in the storytelling.
Elle Fanning is attached to star alongside Kidman. Production is scheduled to begin in June 2026 in Dallas, Texas, positioning the series to take advantage of Texas’ growing production infrastructure and incentives.
Gable
(Netflix)
Netflix is moving forward with Gable, a feature biopic chronicling the life of Olympic gold medalist and wrestling icon Dan Gable. Spanning the late 1960s through the early 1970s, the film will trace Gable’s rise from small-town Iowa to international acclaim, shaped by personal tragedy and relentless discipline.
Directed and co-written by Jon Greenhalgh alongside Michael Wallach, the film is produced by Shaun Redick, Yvette Yates Redick, Jon Greenhalgh and David Gould, with executive producer Graham Manley. Casting is underway, led by Deanna Brigidi and Andrea Bunker.
Production is slated to begin in late April 2026 for a six-week shoot, with filming expected to take place in St. Louis or Atlanta, along with Waterloo, Iowa. The multi-location approach reflects both logistical flexibility and the need to recreate period-specific environments central to the story’s authenticity.
