Kim Kardashian headlines a new Hulu series, horror hit M3GAN receives a sequel, and Claire Foy stars in a memoir adaptation

All’s Fair (Twentieth Century Television)

Reality superstar Kim Kardashian is continuing a serious pivot to acting with a new Ryan Murphy show for Hulu that co-stars Glenn Close. Written by Jon Robin Baitz (Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans, Brothers & Sisters), the series is described as a “sexy legal drama that follows Kardashian as a top Los Angeles divorce lawyer at an all-female law firm.” All’s Fair marks the first production for Murphy with his new Disney deal, and production will be overseen by the Disney-owned Twentieth Century Television. Murphy, Kardashian and Close (through her Trillium Productions banner) will all produce, with Murphy also directing. Shooting will begin around Los Angeles in late October.

M3GAN 2.0 (Universal Pictures)

A sequel to the hit 2023 killer doll horror flick M3GAN is in the works, and Ivanna Sakhno (Asoka on Disney+) will co-star alongside Alison Williams. Plot details on are currently unknown, but the original film revolves around a life-like AI doll that is programmed to be a child’s greatest companion but eventually goes rogue and begins a murder spree. The sequel will once again be written by Akela Cooper and directed by Gerard Johnstone, with production overseen by James Wan (Atomic Monster), Jason Blum (Blumhouse Productions) and Williams herself. Filming is set to begin in New Zealand starting on September 28.

H is for Hawk (Plan B Entertainment)

Two-time Emmy and Golden Globe winner Claire Foy (The CrownAll of Us Strangers) and Oscar nominee Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin, In Bruges) are set to star in an adaptation of  Helen MacDonald’s acclaimed memoir. According to press materials, “After Helen Macdonald’s father died suddenly, she was devastated. A lifelong falconer, she decided to train a goshawk, a fierce predator, to cope with her grief. She adopted Mabel and followed T. H. White’s ‘The Goshawk’ as her guide. Projecting herself into the hawk’s wild mind tested the limits of her humanity.” The project will be directed by Philippa Lowthorpe (The Crown), and written by Emma Donoghue (Room), with filming set to begin in Wales on London on October 7.
