Clint Eastwood set to helm his final movie, Rami Malek stars in thriller from Slow Horses director, and Venom 3 receives the green light
Juror No. 2 (Warner Bros.)
Clint Eastwood—the legendary screen actor and winner of two Academy Awards for directing—is set to helm his final project. Titled Juror No. 2, the legal drama will be produced by Eastwood’s longtime home Warner Bros. and star Nicholas Hoult (The Great, The Menu) and Toni Collette (Hereditary, Knives Out). Juror No. 2 will take place during a murder trial and follows a juror, to be played by Hoult, who realizes that he may have caused the victim’s death. He must decide whether to manipulate the jury to save himself or reveal the truth and turn himself in. Collette will play the prosecutor. Eastwood is producing the movie with Adam Goodman, the former production president of Paramount turned producer who now runs his own banner, Dichotomy. Filming will begin in mid-June in the Los Angeles area.
The Amateur (20th Century Pictures)
After the success of Slow Horses on Apple TV+, director James Hawes will helm The Amateur for 20th Century Studios with Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody, No Time to Die) in the leading role. The plot follows Charlie Heller, a skilled cryptographer who works for the Company and leads a quiet life in a back office. However, when terrorists brutally murder his fiancée and the Agency chooses not to pursue the culprits, Heller’s life takes a drastic turn. Despite not being a blackmailer or an assassin, Heller decides to take matters into his own hands and force the CIA to act. Filming is set to take place between June 5 and September 8 in London.
Venom 3 (Sony)
After the success of two previous installments, the Tom Hardy-led series will receive a threequel. Kelly Marcel, who previously wrote the first two entries, will step into the chair for her directorial debut in addition to writing the screenplay. Ted Lasso star Juno Temple is set to join the cast, with production duties overseen by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal and Hutch Parker. Filming is set to begin on June 5 in London and Los Angeles.
