A new M. Night Shyamalan continues with another thriller, Billy Crystal returns to television, and Kiefer Sutherland stars in an exciting action thriller

Trap (Blinding Edge Pictures)

Thriller auteur M. Night Shyamalan will follow up a series of hits that includes Knock at the Cabin, Old and Glass with a film that revolves around a group of strangers who find themselves trapped in an elevator. As they struggle to figure out how to escape, they begin to realize that one of them may not be who they seem. As tensions rise, secrets are revealed, and the characters are forced to confront their darkest fears. The cast is set to include Neal Huff (The Wire, Spotlight) and Emun Elliott (Game of Thrones), with Warner Bros. handling distribution. Filming will begin this April.

Before (Apple TV+)

Billy Crystal, the acclaimed comedian and actor from iconic films like City Slickers, Monsters, Inc. and When Harry Met Sally, will return to television with the limited series Before for Apple TV+. Crystal will star in the show as Eli, a child psychiatrist who recently lost his wife when he encounters a troubled young boy. Barry Levinson (whose television credits include Dopesick, Shades of Blue and Homicide: Life on the Street) will direct and executive produce, with Eric Roth (Dune, A Star Is Born) also executive producing alongside Crystal. Filming will begin on April 23 in Jersey City.

The Winter Kills (XYZ Films)

Kiefer Sutherland (24) is set to star in an action-thriller from Crypto director John Stalberg Jr. Sutherland will portray a disgraced cop pursuing the serial killer who murdered his partner ten years ago — and has resurfaced to kill again. The film is written by Ben Floro Carney, whose script was placed on the prestigious Black List of acclaimed unproduced screenplays, and produced by XYZ Films, whose upcoming projects include Seven Veils with Amanda Seyfried and directed by Atom Egoyan, Daniela Forever with Henry Golding. Filming will begin on April 10 in Jersey City.
